Terror Module Busted In Kolkata, Explosives Recovered


Kolkata: Police on Sunday busted a major terror module in Kolkata and recovered a huge cache of explosive materials from a godown in Strand Road area of the city.

Cops conducted the raid based on the confession of a person named Pankaj and recovered 22 sacks containing bomb making materials like ammonium Nitrate, Aluminium Nitrate and Sulphur Nitrate including a tin of wxplosive powder from the godown.

Pankaj was earlier arrested by Police from Jorabaghan area of the city for his alleged connection with the recovery of explosive materials from Murshidabad’s Raghunathganj area last week.

The recovery of such a huge cache of explosives in the heart of Kolkata and with the proximity of Howrah bridge and Howrah Station had sent ripples of concern in the security establishment.
