Cooch Behar: 36 bombs were recovered from an abandoned house in Cooch Behar-block
1’s Chilkirhat village panchayat Bhendi area.
The police raided the place and recovered the bombs on a tip-off. No arrests have been made so far. The BJP party accused the TMC of assembling the bombs to terrorise the area. However, the ruling party has rejected all such allegations.
Apart from this, a youth was arrested along with two pistols from neighbouring Pundibari. Bholanath Pandey, police super said that the police raided the abandoned house after a tip-off. The Kotyali police station have started an investigation and are trying to find out who are involved in the incident.
BJP leader Malati Rava Roy said, “We have always said that Cooch Behar in sitting on a pile of fire which got proved once again.”
However, the ruling party has rejected all such claims. TMC block president Khokon Miyan said that the TMC party believes in democracy and not in bombing. Hence, he claimed that the party was not involved in anyway with the incident.
