Kolkata: To avoid a clash with the Lok Sabha polls due mid-2019, the higher secondary exams in Bengal next year has been advanced by a month than the usual calendar.
Going by the exam schedule announced by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, the annual exams will kick off on 26 February next year and the theory exams will be over on 13 March.
The first day of the exam has been allotted to mother tongue paper. The timing for HS first year is 2 pm – 5.15 pm and for HS second year 10 am –1.15 pm.
The examination of Automobile, Organized Retaling, Security, IT, vocational training will held on 1 march. The examination of Biology, Business Studies, Political science will be on 2nd March. The examination of Math, Psychology, History, Agronomy, Anthropology will be held on 5th March.
The examination of Computer Science, Computer Application, Music, Work and Physical education, Environmental science will be held on 6th March. Sociology, Philosophy will be held on 7th March.
The examination of Physics, Neutration, Education and Accountancy will be held on 9th March. Chemistry, Economics, Masscom and Journalism and Sanskrit will be held on 11 march. Statics, Geography, Family resource management will be held on 13th March.
