New Delhi: In a bid to disperse more information to the youngsters, the HRD ministry on Thursday approved a government scheme to introduce 32 DTH (Direct to Home) channels mainly pertaining to useful contents shared by experts to school and university students alike.
The government scheme, Swayam Prabha, was approved by the HRD Minister Smriti Irani and will be implemented from August. It is highly likely that this new scheme will be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
These 32 channels have been introduced by the ministry so that students in the villages and outskirts of a state could connect with information effectively. The experts on the programme will be paid on hourly basis, and they will also answer any queries pertaining to the subject.
The ministry will be focusing on departing information through live visuals such as videos and pictures so that knowledge is effectively dispersed among the students.
