Howrah Municipality Uses Drones To Detect Mosquitoes


Howrah: The Howrah municipality corporation is mulling to use drones for detecting mosquito larvae particularly at Ganges bodies. On Saturday, The commissioner, Mayor’s councilor and health workers joined this work. The drone is being used to take photograph in different areas of Ganges.

On this day, the special drive was led by Commissioner Bijin Krishna, Mayor (Health) Bhaskar Bhattacharya, among other health doctors. The operation started at 11am and end in 4pm.
Shankar Bhaskar Bhattacharya said, “The work done by the Health Department to prevent dengue and malaria. ”

Bhaskar Babu said, this list includes important places like New Forsoar Road, GT Road, Howrah Road. In all these places there are many jute mills, many industries, as well as any organization or factories of the central government. There are so many places that we do not have records in our hands. Corporation thinks the situation of these areas needs to be investigated.

Mayor (Health) Bhaskar Bhattacharya said, “We thought, if we can go from Nazirganj to the Jatiya Ghat of the Ganges, by launch. Accordingly, we visit today. And take all the pictures with the help of drones. A lot of photos have been collected.” Officials said there are many abandoned factories. There are no owners in many factories. Photos of those places were also taken.
