Jalpaiguri: The ‘House for All’ project was launched on Monday. A total 1945 families of 25 wards in of Jalpaiguri Municipality will get a new house. The project work was started by the vice chairman Papia Pal. People of Ward number 19 has got 100 homes.
In 2015-16, People of the municipality area had got total 1290 houses. This year the number has increased a lot. 368 thousand rupees in this project will have allocated. Those who got the house had to deposit 25 thousand in their own bank accounts. 3 lakh 68 thousand will will be spend to built the per house. People receiving money in five steps.
Then the authorities will monitor the first step. Then the second step will be started by the Beneficiaries. It is expected that this work will be completed within six months. Vice Chairman Papia Pal, Engineer of the municipality, local councilor Lopamudra Adhikari were present in this ceremony.
