Hospital services disrupted over power failure


Murshidabad: The electric supply was cut off at Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital. The heavy rains disrupted the supply of electricity at the hospital which resulted in the stalling of various services of the hospital. Even process of dialysis which is provided at the hospital came to a standstill.

On the other hand, when the Murshidabad District President of the TMC Mannan Hossein went to the hospital for dialysis, he could not avail the service. Following his complaint, a show cause notice was issued to Hospital Superintendent Dr. Monimoy Banerjee. The Hospital authorities have claimed that the services were disrupted due to electricity failure.
