Home Ministry asks MP Governor to resign

New Delhi: The Union Home Ministry had asked the Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav to step down from his post after he has been charged in the MPPEB scam. Yadav has been charged for criminal conspiracy in rigging forest guard recruitment examination, his son Sailesh has also been named in an FIR pertaining to scam in contractual teachers recruitment exam.

The Special Task Force probing the MPPEB scam has registered FIR against governor Ram Naresh Yadav in connection with alleged irregularities in recruitment of forest guards under various sections of IPC, including 420 for cheating.

Interestingly Yadav now holds the record for the first Governor to be booked under a cheating case.

Facing the Burnt of the MPPEB scam Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav resigned from his post on Wednesday.
