Srinagar: Just two days ahead of the Independence day, terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen issued a poster signed by the divisional commander Abu Irfat warning families in Kashmir not to allow their children to celebrate the Independence Day.
The poster warned families in Jammu & Kashmir to keep their children away from such celebrations in an attempt to generate fear amongst them.
A similar diktat was issued last year when a similar warning was issued. The latest diktat betrays the desperation in terror outfits to scuttle pro-national sentiments in the valley.
J&K DGP S P Vaid assured that all security arrangements for independence day are in place and the celebrations will be conducted peacefully. “Security arrangements are in place. We have made elaborate arrangements. I am sure 15th August will pass peacefully. People will be able to participate without fear or any danger,” he told the news agency ANI.
A Hizbul Mujahideen terror module was busted by the Jammu and Kashmir police last month in the valley’s Kishtwar area. The police also arrested a terrorist and an over ground worker (OGW), as per the report. They recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition which was in possession of the two.
