Mumbai: The 2002 hit-and-run ghost has yet to leave Salman Khan as the Maharashtra government has decided to move Supreme Court against the Bollywood star’s acquittal by Bombay High Court earlier this month.

Bombay High Court had held that the prosecution had failed to prove its case due to bad investigation by police.

This statement was made by public prosecutor while hearing the petition filed by a journalist in 2002 asking for higher compensation and making punishment more stringent in hit and run cases.

High court had asked that in the light of salman khans acquittal and order stating that investigation was faulty, what action state was planning to take against policemen.

Court has been told that now that the state is going to appeal there was no need to take action against policemen for now.
