Mumbai: After receiving the National Award for ‘Best Actress’ for her performance in ‘Queen’,Kanagna Ranaut was recently honoured at her home state Himachal Pradesh. The ‘Queen’ was honoured for her unconventional contribution to cinema and also indulging herself with several NGO’s.
The 28-years old actress was the chief guest on Himanchal Day (April 15). She was invited by the state Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. But the actress was busy with ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ promotion was unable to attend the event. However, Kangana’s parents were present on her behalf. Kangana won her first National Award for ‘Fashion’ in the year 2008. She bagged the Supporting Actress award for playing a drug-addicted model in the Madhur Bhandarkar film.
