High Court rejects BJP’s plea to form special bench

Kolkata: Lending a blow to the state BJP the Calcutta High Court on Tuesday rejected the party’s plea to form a special bench in lieu of the holiday to hear BJP plea of police inaction and political violence by TMC at ward no-108 and 40.

The court directed the party to approach the court on April 16 after the holidays. BJP has long been accusing Trinamool of orchestrating attacks on opposition leader and workers. The party also accused the police of inaction and said that police is merely a puppet in the hands of state government.
