Heavy snowfall kills four Jawans in Leh


Leh: Never-ending rains and continuous snowfall has led to the deteriorated condition of Kashmir. Due to the snowfall a convoy of the army was missing since Friday.

On Saturday, six jawans were found in an injured state from Chala village of Leh. While patrolling, connection was lost with the team. The Army launched a rescue operation. Spokesperson of Army’s Northern Command S D Goswami said, All of the jawans were rescued in an injured state. Four of them died on the way to the hospital. The condition of two Jawans are stated to be critical.
