Kolkata: The month of may began on a rainy note for both West Bengal as well as Kolkata. During the last week scattered light to moderate rains were observed by Gangetic West Bengal and isolated parts of Kolkata.
But According to Alipore Met department, Heat waves will continue in Kolkata for the next two-three days as there are no clear indications of rain in the city. As expected, the scorching heat made a comeback in Kolkata and adjoining cities, with the mercury reaching the 38-degrees mark.
Temperatures peaked at 35C in Kolkata on saturday. And the temperture will be increased in next 24 hours.
