Kolkata: The Alipore MeT department has forecasted extreme heat wave in the next two days after Saturday on 8 districts of West Bengal. There will be discomfort for the citizens.
Heat wave has been forecasted in western Bengal districts like Purulia, Birbhum, Bankura, West Midnapore, East Burdwan, West Burdwan, Hoogly, Howrah and Kolkata.
Apart from these, heat waves will be there even after the two days in Kolkata, Howrah and Hoogly. Kolkata will go into its seventh phase polls on Sunday and it will face extreme discomfort as a result of the weather.
Discomfort due to moisture will remain in Bengal in both the days. In the last few days, the temperature was in control due to little rain. But there is no possibility of rain and hence the temperature is rising. The temperature on Sunday can reach upto 38 degrees.
Saturday’s maximum temperature is 36.6 degree Celcius, one degree more than normal. The minimum temperature is 29.6 degree, which is 2 degrees more than normal.
Maximum humidity is 91 percent and minimum humidity is 63 percent.
