He Is No More But His Legacy Of Music Continues


Kolkata: Birth and Death, two most uncertain facts of human life. But ideas, thoughts, creation which comes and stays in a deathless manner. As Kalika Prasad Bhattacharya’s musical creation will be in ‘Bijoya’ which is the sequel of ‘Bishorjon’.

Kaushik Ganguly’s direction ‘Bishorjon’ is not only a box-office hit but also got critically acclaimed in every line of film enthusiast. Following many layers of speculations, Kaushik Ganguly announced that ‘Bijoya’ will be the sequal of ‘Bishorjon’. But he is in a doubt that people might not respond to this as they did to ‘Bishorjon’. The work for ‘Bijoya’ was scheduled to start on May.

Speaking about the film, the director said that the music composed by Kalikaprasad Bhattacharya in ‘Bishorjon’ will be orchestrated in the sequel ‘Bijoya’. Though the rest of the musical part will be managed by Indradip Dasgupta. But that is the tribute to intrinsic folk music person Kalika Prasad Bhattacharya who nurtured bengal folk music from the elememntary level.

‘Bijoya’ will unveil many unsaid and reportedly the protagonist will come Bangladesh. The director said, “The sequel is not about the success of Bishorjonm, it was ready, was waiting for the right time.”

The cast of the film remaining same but the art director has been changed on for the project. Tanmay Chakraborty working for ‘Bijoya’.

‘Bishorjon’ means immersion of the idol which comes at the end of Durga Puja and ‘Bijoya’ which is followed by the immersion as the celebration part to mark the victory of the Maa Durga. The film will follow the sequence and unveil many unsaid in that manner.
