Kolkata: New political alignments appears to be in the making as it is now declared that the convener of Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) Hardik Patel is set to meet West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday.
The convener of Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS), Hardik Patel, will meet West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee , a top official at the CMO said today. Patel will be meeting Banerjee at the state secretariat and there is a possibility of a closed-door talks between the two leaders, the official said. “The two are likely to hold a meeting here during his visit,” the official said.
Hardik Patel had shot into fame after he led a Patidar agitation and also how he challenged the BJP in its fortress Gujarat state.
In all likelihood, Hardik Patel will be meeting Mamata Di in a one to one meeting and political strategies pertaining to 2019 national election will be formulated, as per speculations.
It need be recalled that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had called up Patel and congratulated him for the impressive show during the Gujarat Assembly in December last year.
Even as the Congress could not make it to the treasury benches, the performance was termed by many political analysts as stellar. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee called up Patidar leader Hardik Patel and congratulated him for his “tremendous work” in the Gujarat Assembly election. “He (Patel) has done so well (in the Gujarat election) at a young age. I called him up to congratulate him for the feat,” she told reporters at the state secretariat here.
