Haldia Boy To Represent Bengal In National Strongman Championship 2018


Haldia: In association with the Indian Strongman Organisation, the National Strongman Championship 2018 is going to be held on October 2 in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Haldia boy Pigloo is going to represent for the first time from his district

Pigloo a resident of Brajnathchak, Haldia. Pigloo is participating in 75 kg category. He has been successful in participating in the district and state level competition. But he got the chance for the first time to participate at the national level. Pigloo has started for Bhopal on Saturday after getting the opportunity to participate.

Pigloo said, “I belong from a very poor family. So couldn’t complete my studies. At the very young age I had to take the responsibility of the family on my shoulders. So joined in a non-government organization in Haldia.”

He further added, “I used to take the training amid my work schedule. Initially, I participated in the competition organized by the local club. I achieved success step by stem in every contest. Then the district and state level competition came in.”

He regrets for the problems he faced during training period due to lack of proper infrastructure in his district. Still keeping a hope to represent and glorify his district and state he is heading towards Bhopal for the finals.

“The successful National Car Racer and Haldia Municipality councilor Ajgar Ali has helped me to reach here,” Pigloo conclude.
