Srinagar: A gun battle broke out between security forces and terrorists on Sunday evening in Sultan Pora area of Baramullah District in Jammu & Kashmir.
Four-Five militants could be trapped in Sultan Pora region as the gun battle continues. These terrorists could have intruded into Indian territory through the mountains of Uri.
Reports also suggest that this could be a group of newly infiltrated terrorists belonging to Laskar-e-taiba.
Indian Army’s 52nd Rashtriya Rifle Unit and Special Operations Group (SOG) Baramullah are involved in an ongoing gun battle with these terrorists on the other side.
While the state has witnessed a number of infiltrations in the past few weeks, this is perhaps the 7th time that an infiltration has been reported.
