Grenade Lobbed at Police Post in Kashmir

Srinagar: Militants on Monday hurled a grenade at a police post in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

No one was injured in the attack. The ultras lobbed the hand grenade at Kakapora police post in Pulwama at around 6.40 pm, a police official said.

He said the grenade landed in the compound and exploded without causing any damage to life or property.

The sentry at the police post fired a few rounds in air but there was no report of anyone getting hurt, the official added.

The explosion and firing created panic in the area as security forces launched an operation to track down the assailants.
