Grenade Blast Kills 2 In Meghalaya


Shillong: At least two people have reportedly been killed in a grenade blast at William Nagar market in East Garo Hills in Meghalaya. Six injured have been admitted to a local hospital.

The blast took place at about 1:15pm near a wine shop in the busy marketplace. Police suspect the hand of Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) in the blast.

Forensic and investigative teams have reached at the incident site to collect evidence. So far, no group has claimed the responsibility for the blast.
