Grenade Attack in J&K, 3 Jawans Killed

Srinagar: Three CRPF jawans were killed and five others injured in a grenade explosion in Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday, police said. Suspected militants lobbed a grenade at CRPF men posted on guard the route to Amarnath cave shrine near Women’s College and Oxford Presentation School in the town, a police official said.

The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment, he said. The area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers, the official added. An ice cream vendor died last week when suspected militants tossed a grenade at a CRPF patrol party at Achabal adda.
