Mumbai: Remo D’ Souza’s latest release ABCD 2 has crossed the coveted Rs 100-crore-mark by minting Rs 101.91 crore in its third week, say trade experts.
The Varun Dhawan and Shradha Kapoor-starrer is surging ahead at the box office, and has become the second Bollywood film in 2015, after Tanu Weds Manu Returns, to enter the Rs 100 crore club. The 100-crore club has become a new way to measure the success of a film at the box office these days.
With the success of ABCD 2, actor Varun Dhawan has also marched into the Rs 100-crore club of Bollywood. The movie has set the record of getting the highest opening day and opening weekend collection so far this year, too.
While the film’s entry to this much-hyped club is a first for Varun, Shraddha has already been there. Her films Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain have crossed the Rs 100-crore mark in the past.
