Kolkata: According to a report by India Today, a graffiti mocking the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emerged in West Bengal as the party struggles to find candidates for all 42 Lok Sabha seats in the state.

The graffiti showed Prime Minister Narendra Modi holding a leash tied to a cow, below a message read: “Let’s make you a BJP candidate for Lok Sabha elections”.

The message has become quite a popular WhatsApp forward in the wake of Lok Sabha elections 2019.

At present, the BJP has fielded 29 candidates in West Bengal but seems to be struggling to find candidates for the remaining 13 constituencies. At least 25 of the 29 candidates are new faces.

Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress has declared candidates for all 42 constituencies.

The party, which has been trying to boost its chances in Bengal, has been struggling to field candidates against the well-known faces roped by TMC.
