Govt urges media to restrain from spreading rumours


New Delhi: The government on Sunday advised the media to exercise restraint while speculating about the aftershocks after Norther India was jolted by three aftershocks consecutively on Sunday. After tremors hit the nation along with Bangladesh and Nepal, the govt urges media not to spread panic among the public. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for an emergency meeting on 3:30 PM to discuss the situation. Earlier the PM had assured Nepal and the country of quick and immediate relief procedure to contain the damage caused bu the shocks.
Earlier on Saturday devastating tremors claimed over 2000 lives in Nepal and 77 in India, with the death tolls still mounting.
