New Delhi: The Minister of State for Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on Sunday said that the government of India is planning a covert operation to eliminate underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
In an interview to Aaj Tak, the former Colonel of Indian army said “Saam, daam, dand, bhed” (rough translation) by fair means or foul the Modi government will do what it takes to neutralise India’s enemies.
“India’s enemies should not rest in peace. They should know every moment the Modi government is thinking of ways of acting against them,” Col Rathore said. Without elaborating on whether government would use covert tactics or special operations teams, Rathore added, “These things are not discussed on TV. Once the action has been taken then you will get to know about it.”
He further clarified that Modi government would not keep exchanging dossiers with Pakistan on Dawood. “This government is committed to doing what it takes to act against India’s enemies,” the Union minister said.
