Govt Bus Vandalised In Birbhum, CPM Accused

Birbhum: After Howrah, another bus was vandalised at Birbhum. The CPM cadres have been accused of attacking and vandalising a government bus. According to the locals, the bus was attacked from the CPM’s rally.

The bus which was attacked was Berhampore-Durgapur route’s bus. On this day, the South Bengal Transport Organisation’s bus was going to Durgapur from Berhampore via Suri. At that time, near Suri municipality, a rally was on by the CPM supporting the strike.

It has been alleged that from that rally, stones were hurled at the bus. The mirror at the front broke. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
