Govt acted swiftly on black money issue: Jaitley


New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has asserted that the government has put in vigorous efforts towards digging black money during the last 6-7 months. Jaitley said assessment of 350 foreign account holders has been done and rest will be completed by 31st March.

He was addressing media in New Delhi on Monday on the sidelines of a function.

On the issue of new list of foreign account holders that appeared in a section of the media on Monday, Jaitley said government already has the data but the question is not about names but evidence must be there. Jaitley said that 60 prosecutions have been launched in the matter and SIT is probing the blackmoney case.
