Kolkata: Regular evening chat with friends has given birth ‘Godhuli Regiment’ which roughly translates to ‘The Dusk Regiment’. It is the sixth poem book of young poet Gaurab Chakraborty which was published from Boichitra Memorial Gallery on Thursday afternoon. The gallery is adjacent to Coffee House in College Street.
On the occasion of the programme, Hawakal Publishers arranged a literary talk where poet Prabal Kumar Basu and Bibhash Roychowdhury were present.
Gourab Chakraborty is among those young poets, who have crossed long distance in a short span, and have contributed their words to the literary world. Five books of Gourab have already been published till now. His first book is ‘Pagoler Journal’ which has marked him contemporary and made him important to the literary lovers. Now he is a known face.
Bunch of young poets were also present in the inauguration programme. Recitation of poems were the biggest attraction of the programme. Two people of Hawakal publishers Bitan Chakraborty and Kiriti Sengupta were present in the programme. The budding young writers Sanchari Bhowmik, Titas Banerjee, Sudip Raha recited their poems in the programme.
