Kolkata: The Gorkha National Liberation Front 9 GNLF) on Monday said the party would place a proposal to find a permanent solution to the Hills problems in the November 21 bipartite meeting with the state government.
“The state has already said in previous bipartite meetings that it wants a permanent solution for the Hillls. We will also wait for a response from the central government and place our proposal in the November 21 meeting.” Said Niraj Zimba, the GNLF spokesperson.
The party leadership converged for a central committee meeting in Darjeeling to Discuss the political scenario prevailing in the Hills. The GNLF, though, is against the state’s forming a Board of Administrators to run the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration(GTA).
The Jan Andolan Party (JAP) will hold an indoor meeting on Tuesday to chalk out their political programmes. Jalpaiguri Divisional commissioner; who was handling the responsibility of principal secretary of GTA,has been released of his additional responsibility .
