Kolkata: Prior to Durga Puja the inferno has swept the traditional Bagri Market in Kolkata. The fire broke out in the wee hours of Sunday.

There were nearly four hundred shops inside the market. As a result, the losses of several crores of rupees are said to be caused by traders.There were various store inside the market. Most of the shops inside the market are of jewelry, bags and medicines.The Bagri Market is one of the city’s oldest wholesale markets. Prior to Pujo, there was business worth millions of dollars in this market.

For being the most busiest market in the state people across the state used to come here for trade purpose. So it could be consider as a big loss before Pujo.The entire six-storey market was on blaze more than seven hours. It is believed that all goods are charred into ashes.
