Srinagar: A Peoples Conference worker succumbed to his injuries after he was wounded in a suspected militant attack in north Kashmir’s Kupwara on late Wednesday.
Ghulam Nabi Khoja was shot at outside his residence at Kralgund Handwara, 70 km from here at 8.30 pm, police said.
“He was shifted to hospital in a serious condition where he succumbed to his injuries,” police sources said.
The Peoples Conference is headed by separatists turned mainstream politician Sajad Lone who is also a Cabinet minister in Mehbooba Mufti-led government. Peoples Conference worker, Ghulam Nabi Khoja shot dead by gunmen in Handwara.
