New Delhi: Renowned Pakistani ghazal singer Ghulam Ali’s concert that was scheduled in Delhi on November 8 has been postponed, say reports. The singer cited personal reasons behind the cancellation of the event.
The Delhi government had invited the ghazal maestro to perform in the national capital after the cancellation of his Mumbai programme following threats by Shiv Sena.
His show in Mumbai was called off on October 7, after the threats from Shiv Sena. Shiv Sena had reportedly threatened to disrupt the maestro’s show in Delhi as well.
However, the Aam Aadmi Party government had said that it would put together all resources and post AAP volunteers for additional security to ensure the concert happens.
