KOLKATA: Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday invited ustad Ghulam Ali to perform in Kolkata, only a day after a threat by Shiv Sena on his October 9 concert in Mumbai. The ghazal master told that I will surely accept her invitation.
Mamata who was in now Bhutan heard the cancellation of Ghulam Ali’s concert and tweeted: “Music has no boundaries. Music is the rhythm of the heart. Ghulam Ali Ji, concert can be held in Kolkata. We will make all arrangements.”
The Delhi government has also invited the Gazal Master and Kapil Mishra, the tourism Minister said that “Sad that Ghulam Ali is not being allowed in Mumbai. Such divisive politics has no role in today’s India. I invite him to come to Delhi and do the concert.”
