Kolkata: A not-for-profit organization named Global Chamber of Commerce for Developmental Initiatives (GCCDI), was inaugurated on Saturday in the august presence of His Excellency the Governor of West Bengal, Keshari Nath Tripathy and other distinguished guests at The Bengal Club.
At the inaugural seminar of GCCDI on Saturday, Justice Amitava Lala, Founder President of GCCDI, emphasized on the core issue of making GCCDI and its functions. He focused on various issues which will ultimately ensure their benefit. Two slogans, “More for India” and “Growth for All” particularly attracted the listeners.
He said, “We shall not jump up on all the issues at once but select the issue / issues at a time and try to sort out the same.” Apart from various entrepreneurship which are basically looking at Urban Areas, he wanted to go to the Rural Area and proposed to adapt a village and develop it which will set an example. He also differentiated the typicality of other Chamber of Commerce with GCCDI, which is basically more for the Developmental Initiatives as a not-for-profit unit.
Global Chamber Of Commerce For Developmental Initiatives (GCCDI) aims to become the leading body in provision of Developmental Solutions, including Employment Generation & Entrepreneurship Development, Research Initiatives, Consultancy and Support Services, formation of Sectoral Apex Bodies, across sectors with direct and indirect Strategic Partnerships with National and International Accreditation Entities in the viz. Legal Services, Financial Services, Quality Research & Development etc. It also aims at Sustainability Research, Mentoring and Deployment and Social Entrepreneurship Developmental initiatives.
