Kolkata: The Kolkata Municipal Corporation has taken fresh initiatives to solve South Kolkata’s water crisis. The KMC is all set to start a new booster pumping station at Senpally area.
The station once operated will provide water to ward nu-126, 127, 128, and 130. The KMC said that the Rs. 26 crore has been spent to construct the station. A few more pumping stations are on the made, said municipality officials.
Vast swaths of the city is facing severe water crisis particularly in the summers. The municipality despite making several claims has not yet been successful in alleviating the problem.
