Kolkata: Last week, several parts of South Bengal including the city witnessed thunderstorms accompanied with rain. Again Kolkatans may witness thundershowers for the next few days starting on Thursday.
A Cyclonic circulation has formed in the north-east of Jharkhand. The Regional Meteorological Centre at Alipore predicted that cyclonic circulation is moving towards the Gangetic West Bengal ushering in some more rain in some of the South Bengal districts in the next few days.
The temperature may again go down from Thursday due to the thunderstorm. Some of the South Bengal districts may also witness hailstorm. Strong winds may be blowing in South Bengal in the next few days which will bring the temperature further down giving a relief from the hot and humid conditions.
A strong wind likelt to sweep through various parts of the districts like Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar, North Dinajpur, South Dinajpur and Malda in North Bengal and East Burdwan, West Burdwan, North 24-Parganas, South 24-Parganas, Howrah, Hooghly, Nadia, Murshidabad, Purulia, Bankura, Jhargram and Birbhum in the southern parts.
