Paris: French president Francois Hollande on Friday announced that France will be investing 2 billion euros in India. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in France in the first leg of his three nation tour. He has invited the French Companies to invest in India to boost the nation’s ecomony.
Modi said, “There is no bigger market than India. It is also the fastest growing economy since the last six months.”
Modi took the ooppourtunity to to woo the French investors to undertake the projects in India as he held meetings with them where he was accompanied by French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius.
In the meeting it was discussed about the process through which they could partner with India in the development of smart cities, upgrade transportation particularly railways and waste management.
