Four killed, nine injured in Nagaland blast

Kohima: Four persons were killed and nine injured in a fire which broke out after a blast occurred at Wokha Town of Nagaland. According to sourses, several houses were also gutted in the fire which followed the blast.

The incident occurred on Tuesday morning at a gun shop and the fire turned drastic with a range of gas cylinder bursting.

According to police, four people died in the blazing inferno while nine were admitted to hospital with burn injuries and are undergoing treatment. The death toll may rise since the some of the injured are in a critical condition.

The fire had engulfed some commercial and residential buildings in the town setting huge loss to property. The Fire Fighters and security forces were pressed into service and the flames were doused after several hours with the help of locals.
