Four FICN Racketeers Intercepted By Kolkata Police


Kolkata: Four FICN Racketeers were intercepted by Anti-FICN unit of KP-STF on the Northern side footpath of Maharani Swarnamoyee Street under Narkeldanga PS area while they were transferring Counterfeit Indian Currency notes among themselves.  The name and particulars of the accused persons are mentioned below:

1. Prashanta Majumdar @ Raja (36yrs) S/o Lt Ramendranath Majumdar of Vill-Manashipally PO: Bethia Dahari PS: Nakasipara, Dist Nadia and presently residing at Vivekananda Pally, Po+PS Madhyamgram, 24 Pgs North.

2. Md. Akram Ali (38yrs) S/o Mohsin Ali of 5 Topsia Road PS Tiljala and presently residing at Falt no 1, Shakil Tower 3rd Floor, 18, kustiya road, PS- Tiljala Kolkata-39.

3. Anarul Haque @ Saddam (23yrs) S/o Moktar Hossain resides at Pardeonapur, Camp Para, PO: Deonapur, PS: Baishnabnagar, Malda. 4. Md. Guddu Khureshi (22 yrs) S/o Md. Iqbal Khureshi resides at 35, Topsia Road South, PS: Topsia, Kolkata.

Counterfeit Indian Currency Notes amounting to Rs 4,25,000/- of denominations (Rs 2000/- × 163 pcs and Rs 500/- × 198 pcs) were seized in total from their possession. All of them have been booked in STF PS Case no 1 dt 04.01.19 U/S 120B / 489B / 489C IPC.

The Arrested Accused persons will be produced before the court of Ld. CMM, Calcutta on 04/01/19 during Court hours.
