Former Union Minister quizzed in D K Ravi death case


New Delhi: Former Union Minister and Congress leader KH Muniyappa was interrogated by the officers of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the mysterious death of IAS officer D K Ravi on March 16. Along with him, an independent MLA from Kolar, R Varthur Prakash has also been interrogated in connection with the case.

The decision to interrogate the Kolar Lok Sabha MP came since he had regular run-ins with Ravi, who was posted as deputy commissioner in the district till October 2014.

The 2009 batch Karnataka-cadre IAS officer was posted in Kolar district from August 2013 to October 2014 and was known for launching a crusade against the illegal sand mafia there and has literally become a public figure in the district.
