Former Punjab CM’s Grandson Commits Suicide


Chandigarh: Harkirat Singh, the grandson of former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh, passed away on Sunday in Chandigarh after he shot himself.

Harkirat was rushed to Chandigarh’s PGIMER hospital after he shot himself at his residence, but was declared dead shortly after arrival.

Harkirat was reportedly suffering from depression. Harkirat was the sarpanch of Kotli village in Punjab’s Ludhiana. His brother Gurkirat Singh Kotli is an MLA from Khanna.
