Former CPM MLA Gets Bail In TMC Worker Murder Case


Bankura: Former CPM MLA Manoranjan Patra gets bail in TMC murder case on Saturday from Bankura prison. According to sources, HC approved the bail of Manoranjan Patra.

CPM state leader Amiya Patra said to Kolkata24x7 that we are sure about his bail. The process is delayed due to political conspiracy. He also asserted that Manoranjan is the victim of conspiracy.

Earlier, Former CPM MLA of Taldangra Assembly constituency in Bankura district has been arrested for allegedly being involved in the murder conspiracy of a Trinamool worker.
Manoranjan Patra, 60, was arrested by police last evening and he has now been remanded to police custody by a court in Bankura. Patra was elected MLA on CPI-M ticket in 1996, 2001, 2006, and 2011.

He is accused of conspiring the murder of a Trinamool worker named Jan Muhammad Mullick, who was killed at Dhemnamara village at Purba Taldangra area on 13 September. Kahtra sub-divisional Court today sent him 10 day police custody.
