New Delhi: Former Union minister and Congress Leader Krishna Tirath on Monday joined Bharatiya Janata Party. Reports said that Tirath met BJP president Amit Shah in the morning.
Tirath was the Minister of Child and women Development in the previous UPA government. She represented the North-west Delhi constituency in the 14th and 15th Lok Sabha.
It was also reported that she had asked for a congress ticket for one of her children in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, which was denied by the party leadership. After that, she had words with the BJP President and officially joined the party today.
