Former AAP leader Yogendra Yadav arrested


New Delhi: Former Aam Aadmi Party leader and founder member of Swaraj Abhiyan has been arrested by police. He was detained on Monday morning from Jantar Mantar and later arrested by Parliament Street Police Station in New Delhi.

On Monday Yadav led members of Swaraj Abhiyan protested not only at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi but also outside Prime Minister’s residence.

According to the protestors, a ‘Tractor March’ was organized on Sunday against the land bill from Punjab to Delhi. It was alleged that Police lathicharged the rally. Protesting against the incident the demonstration was called at Delhi. Former AAP leaders like Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav took part in the protests. Police arrested Yadav after they found the situation going out of control.
