Mumbai: A foot over bridge near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) railway station has collapsed. Multiple injuries have been reported. 23 people injured, have been shifted to hospital.
In a horrific incident, a foot over bridge near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai collapsed on Thursday, leaving at least one person dead. The incident took place near The Times of India building and Anjuman Islam College.
According to the Mumbai Police, the bridge connecting Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Platform 1 north end with BT Lane has collapsed.
The injured are being rushed to nearby hospitals. In the wake of the incident, traffic in the entire area has been affected. Commuters are being urged to use alternate routes. Senior Mumbai police officers are on the spot. Rescue operations are underway.
