Srinagar: As Pakistan continues to carry out ceasefire violations, it is learnt that five Pakistani soldiers have been killed along the Line of Control. This comes after almost six ceasefire violations over the past few days.
While four soldiers have been killed in the Sunderbani area, a post has been destroyed. The ceasefire violations and renewed infiltration attempts by Pakistan are being attributed to elections in that country and the melting of snow in the geographical area.
According to the initial reports, at least five Pakistani soldiers were killed and several posts along the border were destroyed by the Indian Army.
The Indian action came as a retaliatory measure against Pakistan’s continuous violation of ceasefire along the border in Jammu and Kashmir. For the last 24 hours, Pakistan was violating ceasefire and firing mortar shells in Rajouri and Poonch sector.
