Digha: East Midnapore district administration has issued an alert on Thursday barring fishermen from going to the sea in Digha.
The fishermen have been strictly instructed from refraining themselves from going into the sea for fishing. The same note goes for the tourists too. Miking going on the beach area and the beach site. Disaster Management team and local experts are assisting tourists.
As per East Medinipore District authorities, the alert would remain till Friday. The gusty wind with whimsical weather has turn the weather in a more bad condition. As a result of these, the tidal waves are presumed to attain heights which would be way above the normal height.
The Officer-in-charge of Digha Basukinath Banerjee said, “Sea in a uncertain condition due to deep depression so tidal wave may hit the sea anytime. The tourist have been prohibited from going to the sea. Fishermen from fishing. The alert will remain till Friday.
