Fishermen At Digha Alerted From Going To Sea

Digha: The state government issued an alert in Digha on Tuesday barring fishermen from going to the sea.

As per East Medinipore District authorities, the alert would remain for the period from Tuesday morning to Wednesday. The timing is 8:30 am on Tuesday till 11:30 pm on Wednesday. The tidal waves would attain a height of atleast 2.5 metres to 2.9 metres. The speed of the water is likely to be at 98-195 semi per second. A cloudy weather, moderate rain, gusty winds have been forecasted. As a result of these, the tidal waves are presumed to attain heights which would be way above the normal height.

The fishermen have been strictly instructed from refraining themselves from going into the sea for fishing.
