Fire In Park Street Disrupts Traffic Movement In Busy Hours


Kolkata: Again fire incident reported in the city of joy. This time fire broke out at Apeejay House server room at Park Street on Monday morning which is on the fifth floor of the building. Ten fire tenders have reached the spot.

People have to face extreme harassment during fire on the first day of the week. Traffic movement of Park Street disrupted. As a result, huge traffic congestion was started on Monday.

The traffic department of Kolkata police said the traffic movement was slow at Park Street, Camac Street and JL Road due to the fire. One office goers said to Kolkata 24 × 7 that, “My office is in Dharmatala. I was going to office from Tollygunge in a cab. Suddenly, the traffic movement in the Park Street area was stunned. Everyone said the fire engulfs Apeejay house in Park street. After a while, the cab stepped forward and saw the fire tenders standing in the street. It was too late to reach the office to go through this incident. ”

The city has witnessed a number of fires this year. In the words of one resident, “these multi-stored authorities should be more aware. Many people here come to work every day. AC line should be especially monitored. We need more awareness. ”

Earlier, there was a fire in the APeejay House in 2012. Locals said, “Six years ago fire engulfed this multi-stored building. At that time, about 12 engines were brought. There is no news of casualties. Fire official started investigation.
